Many people make excuses for why they must transition to veganism or take baby steps. They will claim they cannot give up certain things like mayonnaise, cheese, milk, bacon, etc. They are more concerned with getting the praise of people for making slight changes than to just do the right thing and go vegan now.

June 22, 2020 at 9:03 amYes! I was one of these people. But my vegan journey began as a health journey and my intention wasn’t really to help animals. But recently I’ve come to acknowledge that animals are precious beings and I cannot go on in willful ignorance.
However my husband does not share my same beliefs in this regard. So, I’m still cooking fish and chicken and occasionally preparing bacon. Advice?

June 22, 2020 at 9:55 amIs he a Christian? If so, then I would recommend he read “Why Every Christian Should Be A Vegan.” It was written for people who have a lot of objections and/or believe the Bible teaches them to eat animals.
As far as cooking animal flesh for him, you could just switch to vegan alternatives. If he likes things seasoned a certain way then he would likely enjoy them all the same. Everything from bacon to tuna has a vegan version.
Have a blessed day!
